A Pennsylvania woman is facing serious charges after reportedly killing her husband due to an argument they had about a burnt casserole. According to various media reports, 38-year-old Teresa Drum gave police multiple stories about why her husband was dead, first telling them that he killed himself over a beer, then saying it was due to a burnt casserole.

But Drum reportedly took a photo of her dead husband’s body and sent it to a friend before authorities arrived. When she later showed police the picture, he didn’t have a gun in his hand, according to an article by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

She also took a shower prior to calling 911, according to police.

“Police said a woman called 911 about 10:30 p.m. Monday and said that she and her husband had a fight and ‘he just shot himself.’ When police arrived, they found Mr. Drum lying curled up on a bed,” the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. “A gun was in his right hand. A holster was on the floor behind his body. He appeared to have been shot in the forehead, police said.”

Drum explained that she and her husband had argued because she drank the last beer, so he pulled a gun on her. When she tried to push the gun away, it went off, she told police. She then changed her story again to say that she had seven beers within a short period of time prior to the shooting and that an argument ensued over a casserole she had burned.

The Post-Gazette reports that Drum told police they ended up in the bedroom and that her husband was sitting on the bed when he took the gun, pointed it at himself, and then put her fingers on the trigger – at which time it went off.

It was then that Drum reportedly took the photo of her dead husband’s body, took a shower to clean blood off, and put her bloody clothes in a hamper before calling 911.

“She also said she never tried to help her husband and … she did not know how the gun ended up in her husband’s hand,” the article reads.

Drum faces one count of homicide in the death of 42-year-old Dennis Drum Sr. She was being held Tuesday in the Allegheny County Jail after she was denied bail.
