Police said that Selby was aided by someone else in fleeing area.

“He was arrested Sunday night by sheriff’s deputies on a bench warrant tied to the missed hearings and faked an illness while he was being taken to county jail, according to authorities and published reports,” an article by LehighValleyLive.com reads. “He ran off and was last seen about 4:30 a.m. at a 7-Eleven in Doylestown, police said.”

A portion of Bucks County was under a shelter-in-place order for multiple hours during a hunt by police for Selby.

“Selby is described as 6 feet tall, with brown hair, a scruffy beard, an orange shirt, a transport belt and was using a white blanket to cover handcuffs,” the article reads. “He has been nonviolent up to now in his interactions with authorities, police said.”

During the search, Central Bucks School District canceled classes on Monday, but police reportedly called the search off late in the morning on Monday.

“Investigators (are) following leads to locate” Selby, police said. They didn’t expand, however, on how they knew someone helped him get out of the area.

A crime watch page posted an article on June 6 stating that Selby had been apprehended.

“At approximately 1240 hours on June 6, Daniel Selby was taken into custody near County Line Road and Tulip Road,” the article reads.

No other information was given, including whether or not anyone else is facing charges for helping Selby to flee. Harboring a fugitive or aiding them in fleeing is a felony.
